Who We Are and What We Do

Established in May 1999, HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) is a group purchasing organization (GPO) whose purpose is to negotiate with the nation's leading suppliers to provide members with high-quality supplies, equipment and other services at competitive prices through national, regional, and local supply agreements. At present, HealthTrust's members consist of acute care facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, and psychiatric facilities. HealthTrust is committed to providing opportunities for minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE) by ensuring their fair consideration as vendors of goods and services negotiated by HealthTrust for its members.

Our Goal

Identify and develop minority- and women-owned business enterprises.

Our Objectives

  • Seek agreements with certified minority- and women-owned manufacturers, distributors and service providers.

  • Maintain a database of approved minority- and women-owned business enterprises as potential supply partners.

  • Be proactive in pre-sourcing and sourcing minority- and women-owned businesses to meet the needs of our members.

  • Assist in strengthening the management skills of business owners and provide access to key personnel.

  • Establish, measure, and report spend goals on an on-going basis.

  • Communicate about the HealthTrust Supplier Diversity Program both internally and externally.
