MBE/WBE/SDVBE
Eligibility Requirements
|
A minority-owned business
enterprise (MBE) is a for-profit enterprise physically located in the
United States that is at least 51% owned by minority group members.
Furthermore, the management and daily operations are controlled by those
minority group members.
For the purpose of definition, minority group members are United States
citizens who are Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans,
Asian-Pacific Americans, and Hasidic Jewish Americans.
A woman-owned business enterprise (WBE) is a for-profit enterprise
physically located in the United States which is owned, operated and controlled
by one or more non-minority women who are United States citizens. Ownership by
female individuals means the business is at least 51% owned by one or more such
individuals. Furthermore, the management and daily operations are controlled by
the woman or women owners.
A service disabled veteran-owned business enterprise (SDVBE) is a
for-profit enterprise physically located in the United States that is at least
51% owned, operated and controlled by one or more service disabled veterans who
are United States citizens. Furthermore, the management and daily operations
are controlled by the service disabled veteran(s).

How to Pursue
Business Opportunities with HealthTrust

Step 1:
Provide a Supplier Profile
|

Complete and submit a Supplier Profile form on-line providing
general information
about
your business, products/services, and area of interest.

Suppliers without Internet capability may call our toll free
number, 1-800-892-4187, to request a copy of the supplier profile form.

Please note: Supplier Diversity database registration
and providing current qualified certification qualifies your company for consideration in the bidding process; however, it does not guarantee that your company will be awarded business with HealthTrust.

Step 2:
Certification Confirmation
|

MBE/WBE/SDVBE certification is required to participate in HealthTrust's
Supplier Diversity Program. No further consideration can be given until a copy of your MBE/ WBE/ SDVBE certificate is received by fax or regular mail.

If
HealthTrust does not receive your certification within 30 days of receiving your profile, your information
will be deleted from the supplier diversity sourcing data base.

Step 3:
Preliminary Assessment
|

HealthTrust performs an initial assessment of the supplier's capabilities
as they relate to our members' needs.
|
Step 4:
Evaluation & Analysis
|
-
HealthTrust thoroughly reviews the supplier's product(s) and/or service(s) and requests additional information if necessary. A financial analysis is completed, along with a clinical evaluation if appropriate.

Step 5:
Contract Negotiation
|
-
Terms and conditions are defined and agreed upon. Implementation
steps are outlined.
